Mesr Desert, Isfahan Province, Iran

Mr. Heydari told me that he had two cars, yet he used his donkey on the farm. He argued that the donkey could carry burdens right into the house, while cars could not go farther than the gate. After fastening the burden on the donkey, he let him go and the smart beast went the way right through the house without being guided. Mr. Heydari told me that he had been using the donkey for over 20 years, and the total number of donkeys in the village Mesr was only three. Mesr desert. Khur and Biabanak, Iran.
